DOSA
INGREDIENTS
- Idli Rice - 3 cups
- Urad Dal - 1 cup
- Fenugreek Seeds - 1 tsp
- Salt - As per taste
Soak rice and urad dal separately in water for atleast 6 hours. Grind rice and urad dal into a fine batter. Allow the batter to ferment for atleast 8 hrs. Add salt as per taste to the fermented batter. Heat a dosa pan and make dosas using the batter. Add ghee as per taste while making the dosa.
COCONUT CHUTNEY
INGREDIENTS
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Green Chillies - 3
- Ginger - 1 inch pice
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Salt - As per taste
- Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Red Chillies - 2
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Grind grated coconut, green chillies, ginger, salt as per taste along with the 1/4 cup of water into a fine paste.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds when the oil is hot. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add red chillies and curry leaves. Fry for a few seconds and take of the heat.
- Add this mix to the ground coconut mix. Check for salt and add as per taste.
- Enjoy dosa with coconut chutney.
