THE GREATER CAROLINA KERALA ASSOCIATION

Dear Members of the Greater Carolina Kerala Association,

It is both a great honor and a heartfelt privilege to serve as the President of GCKA for 2025–2026 and to work alongside an exceptional team of fellow board members. We mark 25 years of GCKA this year. Since its humble beginning in 1987, GCKA has grown into more than just an organization — it has become a home away from home for Malayalees in the Triangle area, a space where culture, friendship, and shared identity come alive.

This year’s theme, “25 years of Togetherness” truly captures the spirit of who we are. As Malayalees settled far from our homeland, we carry with us the rhythms, colors, and warmth of Kerala — blending them beautifully with the diverse cultures that surround us here. Our story is one of resilience and belonging — of people who left their shores in search of new opportunities, yet continue to find joy and meaning in staying connected to their roots.

As we look ahead, my hope is that every one of us — from our founding members to our youngest — continues to see GCKA not just as an association, but as an extended family. Let us come together to celebrate our festivals, support one another in times of need, and create moments that our children will remember with pride. Let us grow together as individuals, families and as an association.

I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, and well-wishers. Your generosity, time, and spirit of service are what keep this community strong and thriving.

As we move forward, let us continue to honor our heritage, embrace the diversity that enriches us, and inspire the next generation to dream boldly while staying deeply rooted in who they are.

With warmth and excitement

Eldhose Kurian

President, Greater Carolina Kerala Association (GCKA)

2025–2026
