GCKA Cake Baking Contest 2025-26

Venue: Lourdes Matha Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Apex 
Church Address: 1400 Vision Dr., Apex, NC 
Date: Jan 10th ,2026 

The last date of registration is 1/5/2026. The contest date will be 1/10/2026. Judging will be done by local food experts.  

Rules for the contest 

1. All the participants need to have an active GCKA membership.
   
2. Only one entry is allowed per family. 
   
3. Any shape or size is allowed. 
   
4. Cake must be made from “scratch”. Any readymade cake mixes such as Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines, Pillsbury, etc. are not allowed. 
   
5. GCKA requires at least 3 for this competition. GCKA BOD reserves the right to cancel the competition if this requirement is not met. 
6. Participants should be ready to answer any question judges might ask about the recipe 
   
7. Participants are required to provide a list of ingredients (not recipe). 
   
8. Cakes should be dropped off at the cake judging area. We will provide a spot for you to set up your cake. The participants need to leave the cake judging area after setup. The participants should set up the cake on the table by themselves. 
   
9. Cake setup should be ready in an hour from the event start time. 
   
10. Winners will be announced on Jan 12th, 2026.
11. Judging Criteria: Total 100 points
